There are many myths associated with anxiety, such as anxiety is just worrying too much, anxiety will go away on it's own, people with anxiety should avoid stressful situations, medication is the only treatment for anxiety. Or by simply being told to 

"Pull yourself together" that somehow you will miraculously start to feel better!

Fear & Anxiety

Fear is an important factor and is the leading cause of anxiety, but did you know that we are only born with two fears; loud noises and the fear of falling. All other fears are developed throughout our life.  


Fear is a natural emotion to protect us, alert us to danger and prepare us to deal with it, however when this fear becomes out of proportion it transforms into anxiety and it can stop us from doing the things that we love to do.

EFT is an evidenced based technique and is used all around the world to support people to either overcome or alleviate their anxiety. 


Anxiety is experienced in many different forms throughout the body and impacts upon people in many different ways from mild anxiety to debilitation crippling anxiety, but whichever form of anxiety you experience EFT has been proven to help the majority of people to manage it. 



 

Creating Calm

 

 EFT is a tapping technique that works on the meridian points, a bit like acupuncture but without the needles. Evidence has proven that this tapping technique, while using direct language to address the anxiety, is able to calm the Amygdala. This is the fight or flight centre that is responsible for releasing chemicals into the body which causes the anxiety response in any given situation.
